SUBMITTED STORY
When it comes to serving out country, I think you could say that the Farrow family has done their part.
Of 11 children, eight boys and three girls. Six of the boys have served in the military. Add to that one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and spouses and this family could have been its own Company.
The Farrow’s are long time Mannford residents with all of the children having been raised in Mannford.
Clarence was a farmer and Ollie a homemaker.
Clarence died in 1952, at the age of 50 while the 3 older sons were in the military, leaving Ollie to raise the remaining eight children ranging in age from five to 18 years of age. As long as there were younger children at home, each of the boys while serving their country sent money home to their mother to help make ends meet.
