On Friday May 8th, Cimarron Pointe was honored to host a celebration of 67 years of marriage for Tommy and Louiese McDaniels.

The party was given by long time friend Becky Sullivan and all the residents were invited to the celebration. Becky did a great job on decorating and providing a beautiful cake, punch, and a gorgeous flower arrangement. The theme colors were purple and silver and the couples clothes coordinated with the theme. Louiese looked absolutely beautiful and Tommy as has handsome as ever. They are a very special couple and it is our pleasure to be a part of the celebration.
Tommy and Louiese married on May 8th, 1948 in Drumright, OK. They were married by a Baptist Preacher at his home. Tommy was 18 years old and Louise was 16. They moved to Caney, KS where Tommy was working construction work. Later in life they had 2 birth children Sharon McDaniel and Tommy D McDaniel of Mannford, adopted 2 children of the 48 foster children through the State of Oklahoma, Roger McDaniel of Mannford and Chris McDaniel of Tulsa. They have 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Louiese has been a house wife and Tommy retired from National Tank of Tulsa. They have lived in this area most of their lives. They volunteered at Salt Creek North on Keystone Lake where they enjoyed camping and visiting with all the camper for 4 years.
When asked how they met Tommy responded the first time I saw Louiese I threw rocks at her and Louiese states she married him for spite.Louiese says to stay married for 67 years all you have to do is “Love Him.” Tommy says, “If you get upset you have to apologize and get over it.” It takes two people working together to make 67 years of marriage.
