We journey through life one day at a time, one moment at a time. Sometimes we move quickly. Sometimes we move slowly. And at times we feel as though we are not moving at all. But what happens to us when we stop because something blocks the way?
Perhaps it is a boulder which blocks our path. If so, then this is the moment in which we have the the opportunity to reach inside of ourselves and harness the strength to move it from our path.
It might be a locked door. This is an opportunity to learn patience as we seek out keys to unlock and open the door. Maybe it’s a dense fog settled upon our path. Does this not then become an opportunity for us to focus on our direction and contemplate the road we are on?
Every barrier we encounter that slows or stops us is not lost time, but an opportunity to learn that being still gives us perspectives that are not present during motion. We are given moments to reflect on where we have been, where we are going and the means available to us to get there.
