•The City splash pad opened June 27th. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• The City of Mannford will have our annual City Wide clean-up at the usual location in Lake Country. The roll-off boxes will be stationed on Friday July 10th thru Sunday June 12th. The City encourage everyone to take full advantage of this opportunity to clean up their property. This has been a very difficult spring and early summer for mowing and clean-up do to all the rain. We have now began to dry out, and need everyone to clean-up, mow, and haul-off any unwanted items.
• The Chamber will not host a fireworks display this year. Mayor Tyler Buttram explained that 80 percent of the Chamber’s budget has gone for the show in the past and with two other shows this summer season, they didn’t feel it was necessary to put on a third show.
• Creek County has been declared a disaster area due to flooding. FEMA and Mike Nunneley have held a “kick off” meeting looking at damages to roads, parking lots and parks. FEMA reimburses for 75 percent of the damages.
•Boats, Melons & BBQ is still a go and Nunneley believes lake levels should be at a normal level by then.
•Corp is currently releasing approximately 28,000 cfs, which should drop the lake level nine to ten inches per day, Nunneley said.
