Three members of the Friends of the Mannford Public Library were honored at a luncheon in their honor. They were awarded Life Time Memberships for their many years of dedicated service to the community and the Mannford Library.
The three ladies, Mrs.Lora Johnson, Mrs. Clets Bohning and Mrs. Martha Sweezy, began working with the library at it’s beginning in 1981 and continued their service watching the library grow from it’s original location in city hall to it’s present location. Lora Johnson worked as secretary for the Fire Department for 19 year before retiring. Mrs. Johnson was awarded the first Friends of the Library Member of the Year in 2010. Mrs. Cleta Bohning began her service to the Mannford Library at it’t inception in 1981. She has held many offices in the FOL. She served 3 terms as president. Mrs. Martha Sweezy was also one of the original members giving tireless of her time to helping the Mannford Public Library grow to it’s present location.
Mrs. Sweezy and her late husband served Mannford community with their Real Estate office for many years.
