Kara Burden graduated from Mannford HS in 2009. She played basketball for the pirates from 7th grade through her year, and then joined the Air Force in February of 2013. where she currently plays with the big boys.
She is stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. and has played on the Ramstein AFB basketball team for the past two years. Recently, however, Burden was chosen to be a member of the USAFE (United States Air Force Europe) basketball team.

on March 24-26, Burden was able to test her skills against other nations’ players. The teams are comprised of athletes from NATO nations that meet bi-annually. Nations represented were Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and the United States. The US team is comprised of Air personnel chosen from USAF bases across Europe.
