Maxine Moore

Maxine Moore, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 16, 2019, at her residence in Eucha, OK. Maxine was born on December 8, 1929, in Mannford, OK to her parents, Harl Hinton and Goldie Gates-Hinton. Maxine graduated from Mannford High School, Class Of 1947, Mannford, OK. She married the love of her life, Harold Moore on April 11, 1948. Maxine completed Cosmetology School to become a Beautician. She and Harold opened their own Hair Salon (Lee Moore’s) in Sapulpa, OK. They both worked side by side at their Salon for 50 years. They made many lifelong friends while in Sapulpa, OK and raised their 3 children. Maxine was a member of the Thakatria Club, Bridge Club and Builders Class of the First Christian Church. She was a gracious hostess and always welcomed friends and family into their home. After she and Harold retired, they made their home at their beloved Lake Home on Grand Lake while making a new life and adding more friends in the Jay and Grove area, Mount Hermon Church family and OHCE. They have a breath-taking view of Grand Lake from their back porch. She and Harold would sit on the porch watching the beautiful wildlife and Lake activities. She especially loved watching and feeding the hummingbirds and enjoying the relaxation of Lake Life. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, Harl and Goldie Hinton; She is survived by her husband, Harold Moore of 71 years of the home; 3 children, Claudette Wadley and husband David of Sapulpa, OK, Harlan Moore and wife Karen of Grand Lake; David Moore and wife Sheila of Sapulpa, OK; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Jack Hinton and wife Glenda of Tulsa, OK; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Maxine’s Celebration Of Life Graveside Service and Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, OK on Monday, August 19, 2019, at 3:30 pm. The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for all the love they have shown to our family and care they gave to our precious Maxine, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In lieu of flowers the Moore family would welcome memorial donations to Good Shepherd Hospice in Memory of Maxine Moore.
