Judy was born to Kendall Lois Batchelor and Irene “Marie” Coover Batchelor. She began life in Jefferson where she spent her first two years. After her daddy was deployed to Belgium in WWII, she and her mother shared time at both sets of grandparents. Following Kendall’s combat death during the Battle of the Bulge, she and her mother moved to Enid. She attended 1st grade at Garfield Elem, then continued school at Pond Creek while living on the farm there. After she spent her fourth grade in Midwest City, her family returned to Enid where she attended grades 5- 12. She was in Enid Plainsmen Band and graduated EHS in 1960. After her marriage to Larry Landrith in 1960, she attended OSU for a year before the birth of Jody Kaye in 1961. After which Judy studied at Beech’s Beauty College where she received her cosmetology license, then moved with her family to Bakersfield CA. There her son, Lane Terry was born.

Subsequently, the family moved to Arvada, CO, where her jobs included herding two active athletic children, PTSA and home-room mother, and skilled artistic creations. She also bought a guitar and taught herself to play. Her family enjoyed many weekend trips for hiking and camping, and longer trips to New Mexico and Arizona enjoying Native American cultures.  She was a faithful ally to neighbors and became a caregiver to numerous friends through fatal illnesses. Divorced from Larry Landrith in 1988,  the next adventure took her to Albuquerque where she enjoyed spending time with her cousin, Mary. She worked in retail sales of Native American jewelry and pottery. She moved to OKC and was living and working at The Indian Trading Post there during the time of the Murrah Bldg tragic bombing. Her move to the Mannford/ Sand Springs area near Lake Keystone was a fulfilled dream to homestead property, developing the beautiful landscaping of her property. She initially worked at Lyons Indian Gift Shop in Tulsa, Mock Brothers in Sand Springs, and as a school bus driver and skilled aide with Mannford School District. She enjoyed wildlife conservation and daily walks at Keystone Dam spillway. Her most endearing love was the raising of her beloved dogs throughout her life. Her Pomeranian/Bichon Frise, B’, has been her precious companion since 2010. Judy was predeceased by six grandparents; father Kendall and loving step-dad, Don Vollmer.

She is survived by her dearest friend and mother, Marie Vollmer, OKC; a son, Lane Landrith (Brian), Niwot, CO; daughter, Jody, Denver; sister, Nancy Unruh (Ray), Rockwall, TX; Brother, Bill Vollmer, (Shanna), Sand Springs; two aunts, one uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and step-grandchildren. A private memorial will be held by her family.
