Richard Vawter
UPDATE: Sunday night, members of the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Richard Dylan Vawter near the intersection of 41st and Highway 97 in Sand Springs. Vawter, from Jennings, was booked into the Creek County jail. His bond was set at $5,000,000.
Last week, the Creek County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI special agents help investigate the murder of 61-year-old Ronald Rocky Bethel.
Bethel was shot to death outside his Mannford home September 20th. OSBI special agents conducted numerous interviews and developed a suspect. Friday, an arrest warrant for Richard Dylan Vawter (d.o.b. 3/12/1982) was issued.
