The MECC will again be hosting a “Bingo Night” on September 24 from 5-8 pm. Wonderful prize packages include a TV, student bicycles, oil changes, entry tickets to attractions and so much more! There will be silent auctions for several items including OSU and OU footballs. We will have pizza, popcorn, snacks and pop and an enjoyable evening of winning and fun. Come out and support this major fundraiser for the MECC
We have some new pirates that are now residing at the ECC. “Poco and Polly” are our little pirate parrots (love birds) that are adapting well to our busy little building. Thanks to a grant from Pet Smart Mrs. Pratt’s Pre-K, now have “Pete” the pirate dragon living in their classroom. So, don’t be surprised when you call or visit and are greeted with pirate parrot chatter!
In the world of Pre-K: We are learning what school is. We are working on routines and boundaries. We are tracing, writing and recognizing our names. We love our specials teachers and the big kid playground! We can spell and find the color RED. Just ask us!
Kindergarten is reviewing what we learned in Pre-K and finding what areas we need to work on. This month, we are learning about the changing seasons, different apples, apple tasting and graphing. We will also be making and enjoying applesauce!
MES
First grade is working on our All About Me and Community units. We are starting reading groups. We are learning about math routines and tools. We have a very energetic group of kids this year.
Third grade teachers are so excited to welcome two new teachers to the district and to their team! Mrs. McDonald and Mrs. Ausbern are awesome and we are so lucky to have them! Along with two new teachers, we have a new reading series as well. Please check your child’s folder at the start of the week to see the weekly spelling, vocabulary, and skills your child’s class is learning throughout the week. Your child should also be bringing home an agenda/planner throughout the week. Please check and initial this nightly, as it will be used as another form of communication. We are looking to a fabulous year full of learning and laughter. Thank you for your support!
